Libraries of "unsymmetrical" tweezer receptors, featuring a guanidinium head group as a carboxylate binding site and two independently synthesized peptidic arms, have been prepared and screened to identify receptors for the N-Ac-Lys-D-Ala-D-Ala tripeptide sequence.
