  A general procedure for the conversion of cyclic and acyclic α-(N-alkoxycarbonylamino)ketones into the corresponding “kinetic” silyl enol ethers in the presence of trimethylsilyltriflate and a tertiary amine is described. The advantage of the present method consists of an almost complete regioselectivity obtained under mild reaction conditions.
