Cooperative Formation of Trinuclear Zinc(II) Complexes via Complexation of a Tetradentate Oxime Chelate Ligand, Salamo, and Zinc(II) Acetate
摘要:
Novel trinuclear zinc(II) complexes [Zn3L2(OAc)(2)] (L = salamo, 3-MeOsalamo) were synthesized, and their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. Ligation of methoxy groups in the salamo ligand causes a significantly different coordination mode of the central zinc atom in the trinuclear system. The complexes between the salamo ligands and zinc(II) in methanol formed exclusively and very cooperatively. In contrast to other imine ligands, the mononuclear [ZnL] and other complexes are not observed at all.
Novel ligands 1,2-bis(salicylideneaminooxy)ethanes were synthesized. They were much more stable against exchange reactions of aldehyde units than the corresponding salen derivatives. They form stable complexes with a copper(II) ion, whose structures were crystallographically determined. Spectroscopic and electrochemical studies indicated that the complexes have lower LUMO levels than salen analogues

Novel N2S2 tetradentate chelate ligand H2tsalamo, which contains both thiol groups and C=N moieties, was synthesized as a remarkably stable compound. Complexation between H2tsalamo and nickel(II) acetate gave a square planar complex [Ni(tsalamo)] as dark brown crystals, whose structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. In contrast, the corresponding N2O2 ligands, salamo and 3-MeOsalamo, gave trinuclear

Oxime-Based Salen-Type Tetradentate Ligands with High Stability against Imine Metathesis Reaction
are versatile chelate ligands in inorganic and organometallic chemistry, synthesis of unsymmetrical salen derivatives consisting of two different salicylideneimine moieties is difficult because of the CN bond recombination. To develop stable analogues of salen-type ligands, we synthesized a series of new ligands salamo (=1,2-bis(salicylideneaminooxy)ethane) on the basis of O-alkyl oxime instead of the
