Abstract A collection of N-acyl and N-carbamoyl succinimides were prepared by acylation of succinimide with acyl chlorides or by ethylene dichloride (EDC) coupling of carboxylic acids. The x-ray crystal structures of N-benzoyl and N-p-nitrobenzoyl succinimides were determined.
