Thermolysis of 3,3-diphenyl-2-t-butyloxaziridine gave benzophenone oxime and isobutylene via the C–O bond fission followed by the intramolecular synchronous hydrogenmigration from the t-butyl group without the intervention of the corresponding nitrone.

The results of a kinetic study of the thermal isomerization of oxaziridines derived from -substituted C-arylaldimines and C-diarylketimines to the isomericnitrones is reported.
Stereoselective isomerizations of geometrically constrained oxaziridines 1 to the corresponding nitrones 2 could be induced by 9,10-dicyanoanthracene-photosensitized electron transfer.
