Consecutive base-assisted transformations of HC(S)(B) (Si) systems lead to deborylative alkylations, Sommelet–Haüser rearrangements, and deprotoalkylations. Intramolecular cyclizations can be selectively performed either via desilylative or deborylative manifolds by fine-tuning the base employed.
