  Sulfenamide derivatives of the general formula wherein R, - R5 are H or various substituents and Z is CCl3, CCl2F, CCl2CCl2H or CCl2CFCl2, are useful for the control of mites, fungus diseases of plants and insect eggs. They can be made by reacting a corresponding diphenylamine with a sulfenyl chloride of formula CISZ. The derivatives can be formulated in conventional manner and applied in an effective amount to the locus to be protected.
