  Exact and approximate sum representations for the Dirichlet process

  摘要：

  AbstractThe Dirichlet process can be regarded as a random probability measure for which the authors examine various sum representations. They consider in particular the gamma process construction of Ferguson (1973) and the “stick‐breaking” construction of Sethuraman (1994). They propose a Dirichlet finite sum representation that strongly approximates the Dirichlet process. They assess the accuracy of this approximation and characterize the posterior that this new prior leads to in the context of Bayesian nonpara‐metric hierarchical models.

  (EN) A halogenated hydantoin product, 1,3-bromochloro-5-methyl-5-propyl-hydantoin, is described which is capable of functioning as a 'binder' in making pre-determined shapes, such as briquettes, tablets, flakes, granules and other compacted forms and casts of the following substrate compositions: 1,3-bromochloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin; 1,3-dichloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin; and 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethyl-hydantoin. Also described is a method whereby the briquettes, tablets, flakes, granules and other compacted forms and casts having predetermined shapes can be produced by combining the inventive composition with the substrate solid compositions, and compressing the mixture into the predetermined shape. The products are substantially dust-free solids of a desired shape having a high physical integrity and superior crush strength.(FR) Produit d'hydantoïne halogéné, la 1,3-bromochloro-5-méthyl-5-propyl-hydantoïne, capable de jouer le rôle de 'liant' pour la mise en formes prédéterminées, par exemple briquettes, comprimés, flocons, granules et autres formes compactées et moulées des compositions substrats suivantes: 1,3-bromochloro-5, 5-diméthyl-hydantoïne; 1,3-dichloro-5,5-diméthylhydantoïne; et 1,3-dibromo-5,5-diméthyl-hydantoïne.
