Intramolecularhydroamination of alkynyl amides was effected by a catalytic amount of Et2Zn (20 mol %) to form indole derivatives, and a tandem cyclization/nucleophilic addition procedure involving reaction of the indole zinc salt intermediate with acid chlorides or halides was developed to provide an efficient approach to C3-substituted indole derivatives when an excess of Et2Zn (120 mol %) was used
A Brønstedacid‐catalyzed annulation strategy has been developed to construct indeno[1,2‐c]quinolines. This tandem synthetic method proceeds through a sequential electrophilic addition followed by a Friedel–Crafts‐type reaction. A variety of tetracyclic compounds was obtained in moderate to high yields under mild reaction conditions in a short time.

]carbazole Synthesis Followed by 1,4‐Sulfonyl Migration
A simple and straightforward approach was developed to construct 5H‐benzo[b]carbazole derivatives by iron catalysis in a cascade sequence. The notable features of this work include an atom‐economical cascade sequence, unprecedented 1,4‐sulfonylmigration, tolerance of a variety of functional groups, good yields, and an economical catalytic system.

M–N3 complex to alkyl radicals. Following this concept, the diastereoselectivity has been switched by modulating the transition metals and the ligands. The Mn(III)-mediated radical cyclization/azidation cascade of 1,7-enynes afforded trans-fused pyrrolo[3,4-c]quinolinones, whereas the Cu(II)/bipyridine system gave cis-products.

Facile synthesis of indoles by K 2 CO 3 catalyzed cyclization reaction of 2-ethynylanilines in water
Abstract The cyclization reaction of 2-ethynyl- N -sulfonylanilides proceeded efficiently in water with the presence of a catalytic amount of K 2 CO 3 under transition metal-free condition to give indoles in high yields. The recovery and reusability of the present catalytic system were investigated.
