Twelve green crystalline complexes with the general formula [Ni(O2CR)2·L]2 were prepared by the reaction of stoichiometric amounts of pyridine N-oxide, 2-methylpyridine N-oxide, 3-methylpyridine N-oxide, and triphenylphosphine oxide with nickel(II) mono-, di-, and trichloroacetates in methanol.
