n-butyl 3a-g derivatives have been synthesised. The structure of these compounds were proved by UV,IR, 1H NMR, 13CMR and mass spectra. The 1H and 13C chemicalshifts of the adjacentmethyleneprotons and carbons of both the sulfur atom and phthalimido nitrogen group were reasonably correlated using σ° values. The carbon-nitrogen and the carbon-sulfur bond fissions in alkaline and acidic media were discussed

alkyl bromides with arenesulfonyl cyanides catalyzed by Ni(acac)2 under reductive conditions to form unsymmetrical sulfides is developed. This approach for sulfide synthesis is practical, relies on available, unfunctionalized materials such as alkyl (pseudo)halides, and is scalable. This catalytic strategy provides a complementary method for the preparation of unsymmetrical alkyl–aryl sulfides under

5-fluorouracil (5-FU) seco-nucleosdies having as the "sugar" moiety a two-carbon (C2) side chain carrying a N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosourea group were designed as molecular combinations of antimetabolite and alkylating agent, but hydrolytic release of free 5-FU was not fast enough for significant contribution to the high activity they showed against colon and breast tumors in mice. In the present study
