  Cobaltic fluoride fluorination in the vapour phase of a series of polyfluoroaromatic compounds has given polyfluoro cycloalkenes in many cases and negligible amounts of fragmentation products in all cases. The reaction provides a useful route to some otherwise difficulty accessible polyfluoro-olefins.
