  A sol-gel coating composition comprising a hydrolysed organosilane, an organometallic precursor and a corrosion inhibitor, wherein the corrosion inhibitor is a chelator for the organometallic precursor.   A black resin composition capable of forming a black matrix having high OD value and high adhesion as well as high resistance is disclosed.
