This communication reports an effective approach for addressing the prototropy-related problems in heterocycle-based AADD-type self-assembling systems by freezing their hydrogen-bonding codes, by utilizing intramolecular bifurcated hydrogen bonding interactions. Using this...
Facile Synthesis of Sterically Hindered and Electron-Deficient Secondary Amides from Isocyanates

DOI:10.1002/anie.201204481
日期:2012.9.3
The big easy: The direct coupling of Grignard reagents to isocyanates provides a facile and robust solution for the synthesis of sterically hindered and electron‐deficient secondary amides. The products are obtained in high yields without the need for excess reagents or chromatographic purification.
Novel 2-[[(heterocyclic)-aminocarbonyl]aminosulfonyl]benzeneacetic acid derivatives, such as 2-[[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-aminocarbonyl]aminosulfonyl]benzeneaceti c acid, methyl ester, are useful as plant growth regulants and herbicides.
N-[Heterocyclicaminocarbonyl]-8-quinolinesulfonamides such as N-[(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino-carbonyl]-8-quinolinesulfonamid e or N-[(4,6-dimethoxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-8-quinolinesulfonamide are useful for plant growth retardation, brush control and weed control in crops.
