The aryl-benzyl cross-coupling in the presence of copper-, nickel-and palladium-catalysts has been investigated with a number of chlorine-and methyl-substituted arylmetal compounds ArM (M= MgBr, ZnCl) and (substituted) benzylic halides ArCH2X.
