The nucleophilic fluorination of 1,2,2-triaryl-2-hydroxyethanones by fluoride ion has been carried out using pyridinium poly(hydrogen fluoride) (PPHF) to give 1,2,2-triaryl-2-fluoroethanones in fairly good yield.
