Mass spectra of piperidide and trimethylsilyl ester derivatives of the major metabolite of prostaglandin F

The electron ionization mass spectra of three piperidides and four trimethylsilyl ester derivatives of the major urinary metabolite of prostaglandins F-1 alpha and F-2 alpha (PGF-M) are presented and discussed. The proposed fragmentation pathways are based on substituent shifts, on data from deuterium-labeled methyloxime analogs, and those from pyrrolidide homologs.
