Diverse Tandem Cyclization Reactions of o-Cyanoanilines and Diaryliodonium Salts with Copper Catalyst for the Construction of Quinazolinimine and Acridine Scaffolds
Two cyclization modes are realized to produce different nitrogen-containing heterocycles, i.e., quinazolin-4(3H)-imines and acridines by assembling o-cyanoanilines and diaryliodonium salts via tandem reaction pathways.
Abstract An efficient synthetic method for multi-substituted xanthones was developed. The reaction of diaryliodonium salts and salicylates was employed for the preparation of the xanthones. This method proceeded through an intermolecular etherification-acylation to give target heterocycles in good yields (up to 91%). Multi-substituted xanthones were gained by shifting the substituent of salicylates or

By using diaryliodonium salts, a novelapproach of a palladium-catalyzed cascade of diarylation/intramolecular dehydrogenative coupling reaction has been developed in the synthesis of phenanthro-imidazopyridine fused heteropolycycles. The method can tolerate various substrates, and the target products were rapidly constructed in one pot. Furthermore, studies of the detailed reaction mechanism provide
