A convenient approach for the synthesis of 3,4‐disubstituted 5‐imino‐1,2,4‐thiadiazoles and 2‐aminobenzo[d]thiazoles has been developed using phenyliodine diacetate (PIDA). This approach involves a metal‐free oxidative C−N, N−S and C−S bond formations under neat conditions.
