    of the corresponding diacetyl-substituted precursor was interpreted by the electron-releasing effect of the ferrocenyl- or phenothiazinyl group present in the β position of the enone subunit. The structures of the novel products were evidenced by IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy including 2D-COSY, 2D-HSQC and 2D-HMBC measurements.

    Improved organophotoreceptor comprises an electrically conductive substrate and a photoconductive element on the electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive element comprising: (a) a charge transport material having the formula 1 where R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 comprise, each independently, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group, or a part of a ring group; X and X′ comprise, each independently, an aromatic group; Y and Y′ comprise, each independently, a (disubstituted)methylene group; and Z is a linking group; (b) a charge generating compound; and (c) an electrically conductive substrate on which said charge transport material and said charge generating compound are located. Corresponding electrophotographic apparatuses and imaging methods are also described.

    The present invention provides organophotoreceptors comprising an electrically conductive substrate and a photoconductive element on the electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive element comprising: a) a charge transport material having the formula,    where R comprises a hydrogen, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a heterocyclic group, or an aromatic group; X comprises an arylamine group; and Y comprises a 9-fluorenylidene group having at least a solubilizing substituent; and (b) a charge generating compound. Corresponding electrophotographic apparatuses, imaging methods, and charge transport materials are also described.

    The present invention provides an organophotoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive substrate and a photoconductive element on the electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive element comprising: (a) a charge transport material having the formula         X―Z―X'    where X and X' are, each independently, a (9-fluorenylidene)malononitrile group, and Z is a linking group having the formula -(CH2)m-, branched or linear, where m is an integer between 1 and 30, inclusive, and one or more of the methylene groups may be replaced by O, S, C=O, Si=O, S(=O)2, P(=O)2, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group, an aliphatic cyclic group, a Si(R1)(R2) group, a BR3 group, a NR4 group, a CHR5 group, or a CR6R7 group where R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, and R7 are, each independently, H, halogen, hydroxyl, thiol, an alkoxy group, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group, or a part of a cyclic ring; and (b) a charge generating compound. Corresponding electrophotographic apparatuses and imaging methods are described.
