A novel antipyrine-based N,N’-di(antipyrine-4-yl) oxalamide (DAO), which exhibits selective colorimetric chemosensor properties for Cu2+ ions, was synthesized in a single-step and characterized using NMR, FT-IR, Mass spectrometry, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
