    The invention is directed to novel heteroaryl peptidomimetic compounds which are useful as thrombin receptor antagonists for the treatment of diseases associated with thrombosis, restenosis, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmia, inflammation, angina, stroke, atherosclerosis, ischemic conditions, angiogenesis and related disorders, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the substituted heteroaryl peptidomimetics of the present invention and methods of treating conditions mediated by the thrombin receptor are also disclosed.

The present disclosure also provides a composition comprising (a) a GI enzyme inhibitor and (b) a first drug that interacts with a second drug to produce an adverse effect when the second drug is co-ingested as a GI enzyme-cleavable prodrug with the first drug. Such an interaction can be additive or synergistic.

    We isolated and identified the glyceraldehyde-derived advanced glycation product (AGE) formed from glyceraldehyde and Nα-acetylarginine. A major product was identified as Nα-acetyl-Nδ-(5-methyl-imidazolin-4-one-2-yl)-ornithine. The compound has been reported as methylglyoxal-derived AGE, MG-H1. This study suggests that MG-H1 is formed through both glyceraldehyde-related and methylglyoxal-related pathways. There is a possibility that MG-H1 becomes an index of injury to glyceraldehyde and methylglyoxal-related enzymes.

The cosmetic composition imparts much moistness and superior conditioning effects such as body or elasticity to hair, and to skin, said composition does not impart tackiness and blocked feeling, whilst imparts superior feeling of use such as moistness.
