    An acetal copolymer having a viscosity number of 0.1 to 10 dl/g and an excellent isotropy and being constituted of a polyacetal unit and a particulate cross-linked polymer unit is produced by reacting a polyacetal particulate cross-linked polymer other than polyacetal, said polymer having mean particle diameter of 0.01 to 10 µ and functional groups selected from among hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino, amide, alkoxy, acid anhydride, and epoxy groups, to unite them with each other through said functional groups. Another acetal copolymer having a viscosity number of 0.1 to 10 dl/g and being constituted of a polyacetal unit and another polymer unit is produced by either homopolymerizing formaldehyde or trioxane or copolymerizing formaldehyde or trioxane with a cyclic ether in the presence of a polymer other than polyacetal, said polymer having a mean dispersion diameter of 0.01 to 2,000 µ and functional groups selected from among hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino, amide, alkoxy, acid anhydride, and epoxy groups, to unite the formed polyacetal with the polymer other than polyacetal through said functional groups.
