S(N)2' (gamma) substitutions of delta-substituted allylicacetates with Grignard reagents and copper catalysts proceed with high diastereoselectivities. With benzyloxy, methoxymethoxy, and tert-butyldimethylsiloxy groups, reactions favor the anti-isomer with selectivities up to anti:syn = >99:1.
