structure for the complex [Cu(glycinato)(NCS)(H2O)]n, which was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The complex contains μ(N,S)-thiocyanato ligands and an aqua molecule. The glycinato anion chelates a copper atom via its N and O atoms. The second O atom of the glycinato group links another Cu atom at a long distance of 2.908(5) Å, giving rise to N,O,O-tridentate chelating bridging glycinato ligand.
