The present invention relates to a process of bleaching a fabric which comprises the steps of :
diluting in an aqueous bath a liquid aqueous composition in its neat form, having a pH below 7 and comprising a persulfate salt,
contacting said fabric with said aqueous bath comprising said liquid composition, and subsequently rinsing said fabric with water. This bleaching process delivers effective bleaching performance and effective overall stain removal performance while being particularly safe to the fabrics and fabric colours

The present invention relates to a liquid aqueous composition having a pH from 0.6 to 7 and comprising a monopersulfate salt and optionally a bleach activator selected from the group consisting of an aldehyde activator compound, a ketone activator compound, a halide activator compound and a mixture thereof, said composition being packaged in UV light resistant container. These compositions are suitable to deliver improved bleaching performance while being chemically and physically stable upon prolonged periods of storage time.
The present invention relates to a liquid aqueous composition having a pH below 7 and comprising a persulfate salt and a bleach activator selected from the group consisting of an aldehyde activator compound, a ketone activator compound, a halide activator compound and a mixture thereof. These compositions are suitable to deliver improved bleaching performance while being chemically and physically stable upon prolonged periods of storage time.
A stable oxidizing composition and a method of preparing such composition are presented. The composition includes a peroxygen (e.g., potassium monopersulfate, percarbonate) particle suspended in an alcoholic gel. The alcohol content in the gel prevents the peroxygen particle from coming into contact with water during storage, thereby helping maintain a high available oxygen level. When the alcoholic gel is mixed with water, it becomes less viscous and exposes the peroxygen particle to the water. The peroxygen is ready for use when it dissolves in the water. Other additives may also be suspended in the alcoholic gel for storage. The composition is prepared by first preparing an alcoholic gel, then suspending a peroxygen particle in the alcoholic gel. The alcoholic gel is prepared by combining an alcohol with a polymer.
A composition capable of expedited in-situ generation of dioxirane and a method of preparing the composition are presented. The composition includes a transition metal catalyst, peracid donor, and carbonyl donor, and forms an effective multi-purpose oxidizing (e.g., bleaching) solution. Methods of using the bleaching solutions and their application are also presented. The composition provides a cost-effective means of producing a dioxirane-based multi-purpose bleaching solution for use on laundries, carpets, hard surfaces, bathroom surfaces, floors and the like.
