  [EN] There is provided a cationic organic diperoxyacid having general formula (I) wherein: R1 and R2 are each independently an optionally substituted, linear or branched, C3-C10 alkyl or alkenyl group, or an optionally substituted aryl group; R3 and R4 are each independently a linear or branched C1-C4 alkyl group; p is 0 or 1; z is an integer selected from 0-3; y is an integer selected from 0-5; w is 0 or 1; and X<-> is a counter anion. The peroxyacid has been found to have good bleaching performance, including in conditions of alkaline pH.
