  2-(1-Phenyl-2,5-cyclohexadienyl)- äthylaminderivate der allgemeinen Formel worin R1 Wasserstoff oder Methyl, R2 Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Äthyl, R3 Methyl oder Äthyl und R4 Wasserstoff oder Methyl bedeuten, wobei zumindest einer der Reste R1 und R4 für Wasserstoff steht, insbesondere N,N-Dimethyl-2- (1 phenyl-2, 5-cyclohexadienyl)-äthylamin, sowie deren Säureadditionssalze besitzen analgetische Wirkung. Ihre Herstellung erfolgt z. B. durch Umsetzung von Biphenyl in Gegenwart von Lithium oder Calcium und Ammoniak mit einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel CH(R4)CI-CH (R1)NR2R3. Die neuen Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I lassen sich in Form von Arzneimitteln zur Bekämpfung von Schmerzen verwenden.
