Abstract A novel 2D layer complex [Mn(TPA)Cl(H2O)]n (1) has been synthesized by two methods through the reaction of MnCl2 and TPC or TPA under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, infrared spectrometry (IR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), where heterocyclic carboxylicacid ligand TPA = 2-(5-(pyridin
Three Co(II) complexes based on tetrazolylacetic acids ligands were prepared by self-assembly. These complexes can self-assemble into nanoparticles (NPs) in aqueous solution by nanocoprecipitation method. The NPs can effectively inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro, and they provided a strategy on designing highly efficient anticancer materials based on coordination complexes.
Synthesis, crystal structures, and luminescence properties of two new coordination compounds [Zn(pytza)2(H2O)2] and [CdCl(pytza)]n (Hpytza=5-(2-pyridyl)tetrazole-2-acetic acid)
Reactions of Hpytza (Hpytza = 5-(2-pyridyl)tetrazole-2-acetic acid) with ZnCl2 or CdCl2 under hydrothermal conditions, produced two new compounds, [Zn(pytza)(2)(H2O)(2)] (1) and [CdCl(pytza)](n) (2). Both compounds were structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 is mononuclear while compound 2 shows a two-dimensional network. Furthermore, the luminescence properties of I and 2 were investigated at room temperature in the solid state. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
