    The invention provides a reactive polymer-supporting porous film for use as a battery separator which comprises a porous substrate film and a partially crosslinked reactive polymer supported on the porous substrate film, the partially crosslinked reactive polymer being obtained by the reaction of a crosslinkable polymer having at least one reactive group selected from the group consisting of 3-oxetanyl group and epoxy group in the molecule with a polycarboxylic acid. The reactive polymer-supporting porous film for use as a battery separator has a separator and electrodes sufficiently bonded to each other and low inner resistance so that it is suitably used for production of battery excellent in high rate performance. Further, the invention provides a method of producing a battery which comprises placing the electrode/reactive polymer-supporting porous film layered body in a battery container; introducing an electrolytic solution containing a cationic polymerization catalyst into the battery container thereby bonding the porous film and the electrodes together.

    A reactive polymer-supporting porous film is provided as a battery separator which comprises a porous substrate film and a partially crosslinked reactive polymer supported on the porous substrate film. The partially crosslinked reactive polymer is obtained by the reaction of a crosslinkable polymer having at least one group selected from the 3-oxetanyl group and epoxy group reactive with a polycarboxylic acid. The reactive polymer-supporting porous film has a separator and electrodes sufficiently bonded to each other and with low inner resistance suitably used for production of battery excellent in high rate performance. Further, provided is a method of producing a battery which comprises placing the electrode/reactive polymer-supporting porous film layered body in a battery container; introducing an electrolytic solution containing a cationic polymerization catalyst into the battery container thereby bonding the porous film and electrodes together.

    An aromatic polycarbonate resin composition having hydroxyl groups as end groups is thermally stable and also offers excellent resistance to hydrolysis. The polycarbonate resin composition incorporates (A) an aromatic polycarbonate resin containing hydroxyl groups in the proportion of 5% or more of the total end groups and a metal impurity and (B) a deactivating agent selected from the group consisting of phosphorous acid, a thioether compound, a phosphite diester and a nitrogen-containing organic compound. The amount deactivating agent is based on the amount of metal impurity in (A) and the type of deactivating agent.

    In a molded composite article, a resin member comprising a non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin and a resin member comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane-series resin are directly joined with each other; and the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin is a non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin (Ib) or (IIb), and the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin and the thermoplastic polyurethane-series resin fulfill a following requirement (Ia) or (IIa), (Ia): the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin (Ib) comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polyamide component having an alicyclic ring, and an amino group-containing compound, or (IIa): each of the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin (IIb) and the thermoplastic polyurethane-series resin has a polyether segment. The resin composition (Ib) may be a resin composition (Ib-2) containing a non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin and the amino group-containing compound. The molded composite article can be produced by heating at least one selected from the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin and thermoplastic polyurethane-series resin to join the other. Even if the base resin is a non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin, the present invention achieves a direct and firm bonding between the non-urethane-series thermoplastic resin member and the thermoplastic polyurethane-series resin member which were different in properties from each other by a simple process.

    An object of the present invention is to provide a plasticizer for vinyl chloride-based resin superior in cold resistance and volatility resistance, and desirable in flexibility, fogging resistance, heat discoloration resistance, and weather resistance, and to also provide a vinyl chloride-based resin composition comprising the plasticizer. An ester obtained by reacting a specific carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof with a C9 saturated aliphatic alcohol at a specific proportion is superior in cold resistance and volatility resistance, and desirable in flexibility, fogging resistance, heat discoloration resistance, and weather resistance. Therefore, it becomes possible to obtain a vinyl chloride-based resin composition applicable to automobile parts, medical materials, or the like, as well as a molded article of the vinyl chloride-based resin composition.
