to the aromatic ring is restricted to positions para or meta to the other substituent or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Also disclosed are processes for preparing these compounds. The novel compounds are potent inhibitors of glycolic acid oxidase and thus are useful in the treatment and prevention of calcium oxalate renal lithiasis.
