2,4‐Diphenyl substituted fused pyridocoumarins have been synthesized by one‐pot three‐component domino reactions of aminocoumarins, benzaldehyde, and phenylacetylene by using FeCl3 (10%) as catalyst under reflux or MW irradiation. The new compounds were tested as inhibitors of lipid peroxidation. The 7,9‐diphenyl‐2H‐pyrano[2,3‐g]quinolin‐2‐one presents interesting results and could serve as lead compound
