  1′-Halogenomethyl, 1′-azidomethyl and 1′-disubstituted aminomethyl derivatives of BAU (5-benzylacyclouridine) and BBAU (5-benzyloxybenzylacyclouridine) were synthesized in the course of our studies of benzylacyclouridines.
