A new enantioselectivesynthesis of furan-2-ylamines and aminoacids is described, in which the key step is the oxazaborolidine-catalyzed enantioselective reduction of O-benzyl (E)- and (Z)-furan-2-yl ketone oximes to the corresponding chiral amines.
