Propargylic alcohols were converted to allenes in a two-step one-pot process comprised of hydrostannation of propargylic alcohols and subsequent deoxystannylation. Chiral (S)-2,3-decadiene of high enantiomeric excess (ee) can be prepared in a similar way.
