An effective aza-Mannich reaction between olefinic rhodanines/hydantoins and N-Boc aminals catalyzed by Brønsted acid has been developed. Multifunctional rhodanine/hydantoinderivatives were obtained in 71–86% yields and an up to 95/5 Z/E ratio under mild conditions.
