    The invention relates to a method for reducing the emission of unpleasant odors from a water closet comprising the step of dispensing within the water closet a compact and creamy foam, the foam being such that by dispensing 8 g thereof in a cylindrical container having a diameter of 11 cm, it appears to be essentially constituted by bubbles having a maximum diameter of 1 mm and having a substantially constant volume for at least 10 minutes. The invention also relates to a foaming composition for carrying out said method, as well as to an aerosol bomb provided with dispensing means for delivering a foam from said foaming composition. Advantageously, the foam of the invention acts as a barrier against unpleasant odors possibly released from the water closet.

    A process for producing a polyolefin according to the present invention comprises (co) polymerizing one or two or more α-olefins in a vapor phase in a fluidized-bed reactor, wherein the concentration of (A) a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon in the fluidized bed reactor is 1 mol% or more and at least one compound selected from (B) an aliphatic amide and (C) a nonionic surfactant constituted only of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen atoms is made to exist in the reactor. The present invention can provide a process for producing a polyolefin, the process ensuring that the prevention of clogging caused by the generation of sheet or block polymers and a high efficiency of the production of a polyolefin due to good catalytic activity can be accomplished at the same time and also having superb continuous productivity.

    An object of the present invention is to provide solid catalyst component for manufacturing an olefin polymer having an excellent particulate morphology without the concern of causing fouling, and a polymerization of olefin in the presence of said solid catalyst component. A solid catalyst (K) for olefin polymerization of the invention is characterized by meeting the following requirements [1] and [2]: [1] a loss of ignition is 30 wt% or less as measured on a differential thermogravimeter; and [2] after treating the catalyst with water vapor of room temperature and then contacting it with acetonitrile, a component eluted into the acetonitrile comprises a compound having a molecular skeleton represented by the following general formula [I]. (R in the above formula [I] is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms.)
