Disclosed are a curable composition characterized by using a curable composition including an organic polymer (A1) having one or more silicon-containing functional groups capable of cross-linking by forming siloxane bonds in which the one or more silicon-containing functional groups capable of cross-linking by forming siloxane bonds are silicon-containing functional groups each having three or more hydrolyzable groups on one or more silicon atoms thereof; and a method for controlling the recovery properties, durability and creep resistance of the cured article. Herewith, the present invention provides a curable composition capable of giving a cured article excellent in recovery properties, durability and creep resistance, and a method for controlling the recovery properties, durability and creep resistance of the cured article.
The present invention provides a curable composition including: an organic polymer (A) which has on average 1.1 to 50 groups per one molecule thereof each represented by the general formula (1) and has one or more silicon-containing functional groups capable of cross-linking by forming siloxane bonds:
-NR1-C(=O)- (1)
wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent organic group; and a metal carboxylate and/or a carboxylic acid (B), the curable composition giving a cured article excellent in curability and also excellent in heat resistance although a non-organotin catalyst is used.
The present invention has its object to provide a one package curable composition which contains an organotin-free catalyst and therefore has good curability and adhesiveness.
The present invention provides a one package curable composition which comprises (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group capable of crosslinking by forming a siloxane bond, (B)(b1) a carboxylic acid of which the carbon atom adjacent to a carbonyl group is a quaternary carbon, and/or (b2) a metal carboxylate of which the carbon atom adjacent to a carbonyl group is a quaternary carbon, and (C) a surface-treated ground calcium carbonate.

An object of the invention is to yield a highly transparent cured article wherein bubbles are less generated when a catalyst and others are added to a curable composition that contains an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group which can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond and then the resultant mixture is stirred. Another object thereof is to provide a cured article which is small in surface stickiness, slightly gets dirty over a long term, and has a practical adhesiveness. These objects are attained by a curable composition which comprises (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group that can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond, (B) a bivalent tin carboxylate and (C) an amine compound having no reactive silicon group, and which turns transparent when cured; or a transparent cured article obtained by curing the composition.
