    Two new trinuclear ruthenium(II) complexes [(bpy)(6)Ru-3(tpbip)](6+) (1) and [(bPY)(6)Ru-3(tptaip)](6+) (2) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine, tpbip=1,3,5-tris(1,10-phenanthroline-[5,6-d]imidazol-2-yl)-benzene, tptaip=2,4,6-tri(1,10-phenanthroline-[5,6-d]imidazol-2-yl)-1,3,5-triazine) have been synthesized and characterized. The interaction of human telomeric DNA with Ru(II) complexes was explored by means of CD spectroscopy, fluorescence titration, ITC and FRET melting. Results indicated that two complexes not only induce a remarkable conformational change of human telomeric DNA, but also have the ability to stabilize the C-quadruplex. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V.     10-phenanthroline-[5,6-d]imidazol-2-yl)benzene (L) and corresponding novel trimetallic Ru(II) polypyridyl complex [(bpy)6L(RuII)3](PF6)6 have been synthesized. UV–vis absorption and fluorescence spectra of the complex change obviously over the pH range 1.82–12.29. This complex acts as pH-induced off–on–off fluorescence switch through protonation and deprotonation in buffer solution.
    摘要 配体 1,3,5-三(1,10-菲咯啉-[5,6-d]咪唑-2-基)苯 (L) 和相应的新型三金属 Ru(II) 多吡啶配合物 [(bpy)6L(RuII) )3](PF6)6 已经合成。复合物的紫外-可见吸收和荧光光谱在 pH 值范围 1.82-12.29 内明显变化。该复合物通过缓冲溶液中的质子化和去质子化作用作为 pH 诱导的关-开-关荧光开关。
