    The present invention relates to novel compounds, which presents a peptide structure and an unexpected antibacterial effect even against certain multiresistant bacteria. The compounds may becyclic peptides, sometimes depsipeptides, ornon-ring-closed peptides, asdefined by Formula (I). Further, the invention relates to the medical use of the herein claimed compounds, a method for the production of the compounds as well as a method of treatment including the compounds. In addition, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation comprising one or more of the herein described and claimed compounds combined with suitable carrier(s) and/or adjuvant(s). Finally, the invention is the use of one or more of the claimed compounds in a method for decolonization of a surface of Gram-positive and/or Gram-negative bacteria.

    The invention provides a particulate construct such as microcapsules containing a drug, and serving a slow releasing preparation not associated with a practically unacceptable initial burst release but showing a practically acceptable zero-order release for a certain period and a producing method for such particulate construct, and a slow releasing preparation of a high drug content capable of stably incorporating the drug in the particulate construct such as microcapsules, and a producing method for such preparation. The invention also provides a particulate construct such as microcapsules utilizing a highly functional polymer compound and incorporating oil phase and/or water phase in solid phase, and a producing method therefor. Furthermore, the invention provides a particulate construct such as microcapsules having a hollow structure of a single polymer membrane as the outer shell and capable of containing many bubbles in the fine particles, and a producing method capable of preparing such construct with a high reproducibility. According to the invention, a particulate construct such as microcapsules is formed with polyhydroxyalkanoate of a specified structure and a drug for a desired purpose, an oil phase and/or a water phase, or a gaseous phase is included in such construct.

    The invention provides coloring composition for color filters making use of a pigment, in which the dispersed state of the pigment is stable without using any surfactant, and so aggregation is hard to occur, and which permits formation of high-definition and high-quality images excellent in color rendition, transparency and contrast, and a simple production process thereof, by which the use of surfactants can be abolished, or the amount of surfactants used can be reduced to a great extent. The coloring composition for color filters is provided by using at least a coloring material obtained by coating at least part of surfaces of pigment particles with polyhydroxyalkanoate, and a dispersion medium for the coloring material.
