  as a Bronsted acid catalyst. In this manuscript, Schreiner's thiourea acts as an oxyanion stabilizer for addition of alcohol to [Ir] catalyst is described. Thiourea and [Ir] catalyzed alcohol amination without any base or strong acid is reported. The method was applied for the synthesis of cardiovascular drug ticlopidine.
