With sodium 2,2,2-trifluorethoxide, sodium 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propoxide and sodium methoxide used as nucleophilic reagents, the alcoholysis reactions of 2,3,4,5,6-pentachloropyridine and 2,3,5,6-tetrachloropydine were studied. Some new polyfluoroalkoxypyridines have been synthesized. The activities, pathways, mechanism of the alcoholysis reactions are discussed.
