Four stereoisomers of (+)‐pteroenone, a defensivemetabolite of the abductedAntarcticpteropodClioneantarctica, were synthesized by employing anti‐/syn‐selective aldol reactions as the key step. These compounds displayed no antifeedant activity against a generally benthic Antarctic fish that does not co‐occur with this pteropod.
