derivatives, were obtained from anilino-alkynes in high yields (up to 98%) with moderate to excellent enantioselectivities (up to 98% ee) under mild conditions. This protocol features good functional group tolerance and highatomeconomy. Furthermore, this catalytic protocol is applicable to gram-scale synthesis of a naturally occurring alkaloid, (−)-Angustureine.
Oxidative Rearrangement of Primary Amines Using PhI(OAc)2 and Cs2CO3
herein reported. The combination of PhI(OAc)2 and Cs2CO3 proves highly efficient at inducing the direct 1,2-C to N migration of primary amines, which can be applied to the preparation of both acyclic and cyclic amines. A mechanistic study shows that the rearrangement proceeds via a concerted mechanism.

Metalation of the title compounds indicated that the formamidine-equipped indolines or 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines give rise solely to C-2 alkylation products (5,6) whereas the corresponding N-t-Boc systems give only ortho aryl alkylation (7, 8).
