In the presence of a catalytic amount of the rhodium complex, allenenes undergo cycloisomerization reactions to result in the selective formation of five and seven membered exo-alkylidenecarbocycles and heterocycles via novel exo-alkylidenei-hodacyclopentane intermediates.
