This study describes the synthesis of propargylic alcohols derived from isatin and their biochemical and morphological effects on Echinococcus multilocularis metacestodes in Meriones unguiculatus. Propargylic alcohols decreased the alkaline phosphatase and the lactate dehydrogenase activities of the metacestode selectively.
