A gold(III)-catalyzed dehydrazinative coupling reaction between TIPS-EBX and arylsulfonylhydrazides has been realized for the synthesis of arylalkynyl sulfones. The scope and versatility of the reaction has been demonstrated by efficient synthesis of 23 derivatives with diverse structural features.
