    isopropyl-2-phenylethynyl telluride was obtained in 86% yield, indicating that an alkanetellurolate is an intermediate in this reaction. Contrary to this result, reduction of divinyl ditellurides with lithium aluminum hydride in tetrahydrofuran or with lithium in liquid ammonia furnished ethenetellurolate anions, which on reaction with alkyl halides afforded vinyl alkyl tellurides [C4H9TeCH=CH2, C4H9Te(CH3)C=CH2

    Copolymerization of a vinyl telluride and butyl acrylate (BA) using organotellurium-mediated radical polymerization (TERP) under emulsion conditions afforded structurally controlled hyperbranched poly(butyl acrylate)s (HBPBAs) as polymer particles dispersed in water. Various block copolymers consisting of different topologies were successfully synthesized using macro-TERP CTA with linear and HB structures
