The present invention relates to new compounds of general formula (I) where R1 is a ring system containing C and N, being at least one of them different from C; optionally being substituted; R2 and R2' are radicals, same or different, independently selected from linear or branched (C1-C4)alkyl, and-O-(C1-C4)alkyl; R3 and R3' are radicals, same or different, independently selected from hydrogen, (C1-C18)acyl radical, linear or branched (C1-C18)alkyl, and linear or branched (C2-C18)alkenyl; wherein the radical is optionally substituted. The physicochemical properties of said compounds allow them to be used as protecting agents against UV radiation.
