  (EN) This invention encompasses compounds of formula (I), wherein X is either -NH- or -O-; R1 is =O, -OH, -OCH3 or -NH2, R1 is =O when b is a double bond and when a is a single bond, when R1 is =O then R3 is -OH, -OCH3 or -NH2; R3 is =O, -OH, -OCH3 or -NH2, R3 is =O when a is a double bond and when b is a single bond, when R3 is =O then R1 is -OH, -OCH3 or -NH2; R2, R4, R5, R6, and R7 are substituted as described. A pharmaceutical composition consisting essentially of a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and an effective amount of a compound of formula (I) and a method of killing or controlling parasitic worms in humans and warm blooded domestic animals which comprises administering a therapeutic or prophylactic dosage of a compound of formula (I).
